Should Michigan ban texting while driving?

Distracted drivers account for almost 80 percent of all crashes and 65 percent of near-crashes in the United States, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Last year, lawmakers in Michigan were able to pass a law enforcing texting while driving, among other things, only to have it go no further in the senate. According to AAA, 18 states have already enacted laws prohibiting all drivers from texting, ten other states have laws that only affect teens.

  1. Ha, I did texting too. Your idea is more serious then mine, I was just making fun of texting. I like your idea, too funny how there is somebody lying on the car and the girl is still texting.
