    The top photo looks really flat, almost like it straight flash from the camera. It's really harsh light. The bottom photo is compositionally interesting but the light looks flat.

    Don't know how I didn't see these earlier. I really like the bottom photo, it's composed very well. I do agree with Krista though that it could use a little stronger lighting...but I had more of the same problem with my shots.
